Heading home today

Wanted to post another couple of fun shots. Part of the whole "relaxing" thing for me has been having a chance to play with some photography techniques that I've been wanting to get some more exposure with (pun intended). These are both long exposures (the one of me around 30sec...check out the traffic lights -- red, yellow, and green). The biker was done using a panning technique where you follow the subject, keeping as much as possible of it in focus while the background does it's thing. I hadn't tried that before...it's pretty tough to pan at the same speed of whatever you're following. But I like how the bike, and the light around it, turned out.

It's been great to unwind here a bit...drink a bunch of Starbucks...be with friends. But of course it'll also be great to get back to the kids and hear about their adventures over the past couple of days. Off to our last round of Dunkin' Donuts!! :-)
