Enjoying the Night
It's getting cold in M-O! 3 degrees this morning!! But I like the cold. I always say that being outside with a cold gust of air hitting me in the face takes me back to my days of trudging through the cold and snow to get to class at NU in Chicago. Good times...frostbite and all!
To really mark the beginning of the cold, I decided to freeze Ben and me out last night to try to get a fun shot like this. We took everything outside and setup this scene in our driveway. If you're interested in this kind of stuff, it's lit by two camera flashes (one inside the lamp and another off to the left of the camera). It's an 8-second exposure, which lets you see some background and know for sure that, yes, indeed we're outside!
We're doing pretty well here. Made it through the holidays, having a great time with all of our family. And tomorrow we're off to Chicago to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We've been looking forward to that for awhile, but my stomach will be glad when we get back and the holiday eating frenzy can end. Definitely no dieting when you're in reach of Chicago-style pizza!!
Well, just wanted to say hey and share another Michael & son shot.
Happy New Year to you all!!
