Heading to Cali
I've never been to California so I'm excited to have the opportunity to head out to Inglewood tomorrow. I'm going to a conference that runs through Monday, speaking in about six churches in two days. Not quite sure what they have planned for the other few days, but I'm sure it will be interesting.
I'm entering one of my photos in a competition exhibit at the Art St. Louis gallery next month and have been thinking about entering a second...just don't have any that pop out in my mind for the theme, "Pixels and Patterns". Maybe I'll find something in CA!
Today I had the chance to shoot a real estate listing for a new client who wanted to try me out. The house was nice (here's the slideshow) but the owners were wonderful. They aren't from the US but wanted to come here to allow their kids an opportunity to have the benefits our country offers. If you know my family, you can see how we had a lot to talk about!
Amazingly, as I was wrapping up, I noticed that the husband had disappeared. About the time I was closing my gear case, his wife mentioned that he was back and that he'd gone to buy me lunch!! I couldn't believe their hospitality as he helped me out to the car and handed off a bag of food and drink.
I know I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'm very blessed. You don't have to look hard around to see God's touches on your life. They come in so many ways...through so many people. It's really beautiful.
See you in a few days...I'll try to post some shots from Inglewood!
