New option for RE listings - "Zoomables"

I liked the zoomable photo I previously posted so much that I'm going to start offering that format to the real estate agents I shoot for. Photos are EVERYTHING these days in home searches. Without good photography, it is highly unlikely that potential buyers will want to visit in person (unless it's a killer deal). These "zoomables" (as I'm calling them) will not only allow a viewer to see a good shot of a given room...but further, to actually zoom in on certain details or features. This is gold when you consider the quality of the higher end homes that I'm typically shooting.

This is another example from a mid-level home close to downtown St. Louis. I like the feel of this dining room. It was a very cute, quaint home that would be much more in my budget range than the $1M+ homes that I shoot!

Use the buttons below the image to zoom in/out (or double-click anywhere on the image), pan around the shot, and reset to original view.

Testing "zoomify"

I've got something I'm working on with a few different possibilities in mind. This is a pretty cool technology that might lend itself quite nicely to the architectural work that I do, as well as possibly having interesting applications here at NB.

This is New Balance's 1224, being released in September. If you have low arches or over-pronate, these are quite possibly the next best friend for your feet!!

Wanted: Cereal Killer

After watching Meet Me in St. Louis last night with our son Ben (yes, he's 13 and he liked it!), there was something said on tv about a serial killer somewhere. Ben couldn't figure out what they were talking about. He asked a few times, "serial killer?...serial killer? What's that??" We couldn't figure out what he was getting at until the light bulb went on....he thought it was a cereal killer!

I'm seeing comedic material here..."WANTED for the murder of Capt. Crunch, Gen. Mills, Snap, Crackle, and Pop." Ben didn't think that part was too funny, though. :-)

It's fun to watch the kids as they continue developing...on all levels!

Thornfield

With a post here or there, I thought I'd share a few shots from yesterday's real estate shoot. This was an incredibly beautiful little place (ok, little in the nice way...definitely not size!) in a really nice area of west county. I love shooting in places where I can visit a bit with the owners while I work...as was the case yesterday. Not only does it make everything go a little quicker, but it adds that personal touch that makes the job more meaningful (and hint hint...gets you yours shots a lot quicker).

Enjoy...and if you'd like to see the rest, head over to my galleries!
